| In March 2007 a trip to Kenya was undertaken by 17 staff of Musgrave Wholesale Ireland. The purpose of the trip was to support the Sonshine Club charity which was originally set up by the leaders of a children's summer programme in a church in East Belfast. The group's primary roll while in Kenya was to assist in the building of a school in the north eastern region of the country, but it ended up being much more comprehensive! The group visited water & irrigation projects and opened wells - saving the Turkana people of the region a 12km walk for fresh water. The group also visited primary schools, adult education programmes and established a medical clinic. The trip had a profound effect on many of the 17 strong team who travelled to this under-developed region of Africa. As conditions were so difficult to explain, the emotion of the trip so difficult to convey, it was decided that a film would be extremely helpful to explain to other Musgrave employees what the situation in Africa is really like. Picturebox were commissioned in June to take 7 hours of Video footage, which was captured by one of the staff of Musgrave Wholesale Ireland and create a custom DVD featuring a 35 minute programme, Digital Photo Album and Scene Selection Menu. ![]() |
